The ninth house, the first
to be built and occupied for a decade by Jan Thorn-Prikker himself, is
the most interesting in the row. Its gable with the studio window bears
the so-called Lauweriks motif, a line developed out of a square pattern
and bent in various directions, appears in many different variations in
several details of the Lauweriks houses and gardens.
